What is the purpose of this workshop?
The ultimate goal is healing.
Grieving the Brochure offers participants practical tools to navigate institutional and political change. This PWYD workshop is an all-inclusive workshop that will help participants reconcile institutional ideals with institutional realities and navigate the gaps in between.
This 90-minute workshop is designed for artists, creatives, professionals working in the non-profit arts sector, and theatre educators who are seeking ways to support themselves, their teams, their students, or their communities in navigating the challenges posed by institutional shifts, political change, and DEI-related issues, both internally and in response to current global events.
Facilitated by Noelle Diane Johnson, an artist, educator, and Certified DEI Strategist, this session offers practical tools and resources for creating spaces of healing and collaboration during times of change. Using the four pillars of The Artists Heal® Method, Noelle will guide participants through trauma-informed practices focused on boundaries, consent, and holistic healing. Attendees will leave with strategies for fostering healing and cultivating supportive environments for team and community processing.
Is this workshop for me?
A few questions to consider…
▸ Am I a collaborative art-maker interested in creating spaces that effectively support marginalized artists and vulnerable communities?
▸ Do I create art through theatre and collaborative art-making? For myself? For others?
▸ Am I on a journey to decolonize and dismantle the systems and structures of White Supremacy in my own practice and process?
▸ Am I interested in practical resources based on boundaries and consent and how these concepts can foster self-liberation in my creative environments?
▸ Would I like to find community and fellowship with other Artists seeking to implement changes in industry standards?
