HEALING & CARE SPACES FOR COLLABORATIVE ART-MAKING
This is where Healing Happens.
WHAT WE DO
ARTISTS HEAL® creates healing and care spaces designed to allow artists to prioritize their holistic health and well-being while fully engaging in the collaborative art-making process.
We prioritize marginalized and vulnerable communities in a way that creates new pathways to engage in collaborative art-making free from the harmful, dysfunctional, and abusive systems and structures upheld by White Supremacy.
Freedom from the bondage that is trauma and a return to the body’s natural state allows access to healing, engagement, and truthful and authentic storytelling.

This 90-minute workshop is designed for artists, creatives, professionals working in the non-profit arts sector, and theatre educators who are seeking ways to support themselves, their teams, their students, or their communities in navigating the challenges posed by institutional shifts, political change, and DEI-related issues, both internally and in response to current global events. Facilitated by Noelle Diane Johnson, an artist, educator, and Certified DEI Strategist, this session offers practical tools and resources for creating spaces of healing and collaboration during times of change. Using the four pillars of The Artists Heal® Method, Noelle will guide participants through trauma-informed practices focused on boundaries, consent, and holistic healing. Attendees will leave with strategies for fostering healing and cultivating supportive environments for team and community processing.
Grieving the Brochure: Navigating amid Institutional and Political Change will be offered virtually on the following dates:

EXPERIENCES
What people are saying about working with ARTISTS HEAL®
“Through collective engagement and support, ARTISTS HEAL® makes certain that the creative space is safe and accessible for everyone; enabling the artists to do their job and create unencumbered.”
— Kimberly S. Fairbanks, Actor
“ARTISTS HEAL® provided absolutely necessary support to a team of primarily Global Majority artists under challenging circumstances. Noelle guided me, as both director of the production and a Co-Artistic Director at the theater, in the process of acknowledging issues as they arose, and then taking the time to determine the necessary response, and ultimately taking action. Working with Noelle changed how I view my own artistic process, and I know that I am not the only one who was so profoundly impacted by her presence and perspective.”
— Morgan Green, Director
“Noelle's presence and input during our rehearsal/performance process has been invaluable and necessary. From opening and closing our days with grounding practices rooted in care, awareness, and support, to getting in the trenches with us to pick apart the particular racial and cultural dynamics within a scene - helping us bring a new intention and clarity of purpose, ultimately enriching and uplifting the entire piece with sensitivity and joy!”
— Sarah Gliko, Actor
“Noelle and ARTISTS HEAL® has been a vital part of every artistic process I’ve had the privilege of encountering their work. Noelle adapts, responds, and embraces the alchemy of the people and content of every artistic endeavor. She empowers me as an artist to feel liberated to express my voice, collaborate with ferocity, and know that someone in the room has my back and those of my peers.”
— Justin Jain, Actor & Director
